A team of 16 athletes, two alternates, and four coaches have been named to Biathlon Canada’s Youth/Junior World Championship team. The competition is being held in Osrblie, Slovakia and the team will depart Canada on January 21 and take part in the competition from January 26 to February 3.

Five athletes were pre-selected to the team including Megan Bankes, Nadia Moser, Emily Dickson, Adam Runnalls, and Trevor Kiers based on being selected to compete on IBU or World Cup Tour 2. Bankes, currently competing on the World Cup, and Moser, the IBU Cup, will decide if they will participate in Junior World Championships early next week.
